I spent hours convincing my partner to let me go riding, it has even cost me 1x rather exepensive ice-cream maker to sweeten the deal.
Ooops - no problem to bump me back to no.11 (loser) - and I can revert back to the Moonshine Trail Ride. Now to the garage to put on a rear tyre - how's yours progressing NZKTM?

Yeah sorry mate, was on the diesel lastnight and missed your post. PM sent.
There are two kinds of adventurers: those who go truly hoping to find adventure and those who go secretly hoping they won't. We should come home from our adventures having faced their perils and uncertainties, endured their discomfort and beaten the odds, with a sly acknowledgment and revitalised solidarity of character.

    Well, that's a Quota

Lads, we have the numbers now. Sorry for those who are on reserve list or weren't able to commit in time.

Not an ego thing or me trying to be a prick - it's not an exclusive club or anything, it's just that I'm personally accountable for the group and individual actions on the day and as a rule of thumb groups sizes are normally limited to around 4 or personal recreation activities like this, and this is certainly not an organised "event" like Desert Storm where hundreds of bikes cut sick across the tussock.

Will add timings and other details early in the week.

Who's riding up from Wellington (with me or otherwise) on Sat morning and who's staying overnight?

If we can do a ride on the Sunday morning I will stay overnight...Perhaps Chris might like to take a meander home somewhere the long way round withe me?....Whoever else that may be joining from Waikato or reaches further North are welcome to tag along....May as well make a weekend of it aye!
Hey Buggs, maybe we could get the little grounds next to the rugby fields behind the museum? This was used for myself and others when we did the Trail Wonders of Waiouru ride....In fact we camped there twice...Nice little sheltered spot, even had ablutions unlocked for us....

Yeah, was thinking something a little more comfortable myself... but could be done. I'll see what I can sort, but hopefully will include hot showers and beds...I'll now plan on staying overnight Sat night and we'll throw some ideas around for a Sunday ride...

Yeah I'm thinking no later than 7am departure (say meet at Mana Shell station?), good pace to Bulls then decide how timings are going for taking Turakina Valley or the main drag. Perhaps to play it safe we bolt straight to Waiouru and can do Turakina on the way home on Sunday?

Whatever is arranged, either comfortable or Bivvie style is fine with me...If we do not need tent, just let us know, then I can have more room on the back for other essentials like the Latte maker and Toastie machine..... tools too......and survival kit..hehe

Have a good ride guys, it's neat terrain in there, I'm mildly pissed I can't make it (other obligations) but I'll be in there next year with the army ride.....3 days of it!

Now, back to reassembling the 640, I seem to have a couple of spare parts that I need to find a home for.......
