You could have 15 minutes on "in the room", and 45 minutes in the bar, 60 minutes on the stage ... I'm sure you could have some variety in the work place.

I guess the pay rate accepted by the worker reflects the net risk of the job.

Effectively, the pay rate will rise till someone is willing to take on the risk.

Every job has some risk. Courier driver. Personal Assistant. Lion tamer.
