RANT FOLLOWS: I generally don't do group rides, because of the questionable attitude of some and because I enjoy riding at my pace. AM I NOT SAFE FROM SOME CRETINS ANYWHERE? As I was riding back over the hill today, I was nearly taken out by some MORON ON A YELLOW HYOSUNG, who clearly doesn't know where his side of the road is and that you don't pass on a blind corner. Yes he was part of TCWNR. YOU COCK. I was tempted to turn around and head back to the Royal to duke it out. Alas, I am older and maybe wiser than I once was. Tone it down you muppet, you know who you are, there was only one yellow Hyo on the ride. RANT ENDS. Hope the rest of you enjoyed the ride.
When the going gets weird, the weird turn pro.

Yep saw you coming over the hill Hans. Too late to give you a friendly wave though, you really need to do something to your bike to make it stand out from the crowd.
Go on, surprise me tomorrow morning on the way to work
But yes, I think most of the rest of us had a good ride. Four of us went on a bug splatting mission around the lake with some good results.
Took it nice and easy on the way back over the hill. Got overtaken by a Harley
Thought it was Katie at first and that she was in a real hurry.

You should know better than that Cloggy! Me, over take, on the hill? Hahahaha funniest thing I have ever heard. But yes, mr Harley was a machine - gave me knew insight into cruiser riding hehe.

Also had a nice gentel ride home. Man - those wedges were yummy. So was that tomato sauce

I wholeheartedly support this comment. I was a couple of bikes behind and saw the near miss - and it was very close! You should be very contrite Mr Yellow Hyo - and remember cutting blind corners is just plain dumb!!

You are very lucky that you: missed JH when leaving the carpark at the summit (JH had to swerve/brake to avoid you); missed Hans when cutting the corner; missed the next rider when you overtook; and the list goes on... nuf said. Learn from this - keep the red mist in check.

Hans didn't wave back at me. although you didn't have much time, so i'll let you get away with it this time

Good to see you on the road anyways, I was way down the hill behind everyone on the WR. I forgot that bikes need gas every now and then so had to make a pit stop before heading for the hill.

Been about 10 months since my last wed night ride.

I had a great ride back. No dramas or f'ups. Followed Eugene who promptly left me for dust. No vehicles going up and only one car down the other side. Managed to get a little further over than normal and getting used to the handling of the triple.

Suspension upgrade is something I'm definitely going to look into. She doesn't like corrugations in the road.

Great to catchup with you and look forward to more of these (pending permission of "the thumb")

Hmmmmm, interesting comments from what's supposed to be a cruisy Wednesday night ride. And not the first I've heard. Perhaps someone needs to take a bit of ownership of these rides and tell riders to SETTLE THE FUCK DOWN before a tradgedy occurs.

Hahahaha, maybe you could tell him that in person. Fellow on the yellow Hyosung works down at TSS.

You played with your settings and sags yet Dave ? That triple should soak up the coro's peice of piss !
Could be as simple as not enough rebound under brakes

I used this to set mine up and get my head around the science of it ! Took me a few reads lol, but if i can nutt it out, i'm sure someone like yourself will suss it !
Worked out that the spring rates on the triple are perfect for my 100kg with gear on, to get the correct sags !
The emulators are pretty basic (or should i say lacking for track work) but well sufficient for road riding
Just remember to write down the settings that it came out of the factory with (which i didn't lol)
A girlfriend once asked " Why is it you seem to prefer to race, than spend time with me ?"
The answer was simple ! "I'll prolly get bored with racing too, once i've nailed it !"

    Bowls can wait !

I've asked Ivan to give him a slap in the interim.

Someone really does need to take control of these rides and I am seriously thinking about coming down and doing it myself. I would happily be tail end charlie and send all the wannabe Rossi's of to meet us at the destination. Would just need a lead rider and anyone who is riding between myself and the lead that acts like a dork will be riding with the wannabe Rossi's from the next ride on.

I seriously am waiting for a Weds night RIP thread......

I might pop in and have a quiet word with him myself. He did nearly get me killed after all.

Sweet Str8, you can be at the back with me!!!

I hope that there is never a RIP thread for these, a lot of the riders are nice and courteous (sp) only a few ruin it for the many.

And Dave mate, you need to give me your Speed triple (When the hyobag is getting slowed down going up the hill by a 1050 I feel bad for the 1050)
