Wicked, I want in on this....
Imagine if they decided to build more MC22/NC35s with injection, newer tech and far more revs.... 20+ thousand RPM and 50hp 250cc beasts...
Or make a water cooled RC166 for the road....60hp back in 1966 from a 250... What the fuuuuuck?
ffs you give engineers motivation and this happens!!!

    keep the good work up
I asked God for a bike, but I know God doesn't work that way. So I stole a bike and asked for forgiveness.

fuck yeh, they say there's no replacement for displacement, but RPM come pretty fucking close I reckon!

yeh, think the plan would be to get 4 NSR250 pistons, ring rods. Stick em in a 90 degree V4 configuration, supercharged fuel injected two stroke engine config; add a dash of gear driven cams, desmodeuci style valve system. And jam it all in an RC31 frame for starters, would be fucking mad

    Two stroke with cams?????

I would be a prick with the same v4, but run a variable vane turbo, bout RHB51 size (I'll find somewhere to stick it), titanium anything possible, forged rods, pistons and a nice custom crank. RVF heads, converted to pneumatic valves, we want at least 20krpm....obviously direct injected with variable intake manifold volume... oh and just an RVF frame will do, with carbon wheels and tons of Ohlins gear.
    And a Morris.

yeh, forget the name of the cycle, mainly used in big diesel ship engines and generators I think, cos the charger can blow fresh charge through the cylinder you can replace the exhaust port with a valve (bit higher compression) and do away with the expansion chambers, would probly have to go with direct injection so as not to piss all the fuel out the exhaust too. and with no inlet valve to worry about you could have a massive exhaust valve and the plug off to one end. Massive rpm! may need to do a bit of titanium rods to cope with it all...

that idea sounds pretty mint too, and you could use plenty of existing parts for a quick build too. A pnuematic valve project would be pretty interesting, don't spose the RVF heads are non interference? what about the cibbys?

also, yes meanie, your favorite show is on again

I'll have to do some searching on that!!!!
I imagine the RVF has some non-interference, look at the reasonably stupid valve overlap some people run on them, plus stupidly tight lobe centers.

Oooh let's make pneumatic valves for the cibbie! Or your vt250. I'll supply beer and stupid ideas.

nah vt250 is too low reving as it is, the rods/intake/exhaust/ignition would all need modifying, reckon somthing that'll get valve bounce at over 17k would be the one to try. How high does the cibbie go?

Good point, my Spada was only pulling 14k. The cibbie hits the limiter at 13k, but being CBR400 internals, I can imagine 16k quite happy without mods, maybe more.
I reckon starting with an mc22 or zxr250.....
