last one l had on the dyno was a 2005 zxr1000 only made 3 hp diff from standard to after market muffer. also does not take a AMA, WSBK or MotoGP team member to put one on lol

so you had the model before euro 3 emissions specs came out, the later bikes come out with a much more complex muffler system to meet the new exhaust emission specs, would not be suprised to see that sort of rise out of a slip on that got rid off all the cat converters
See above post - cat convertors and factory limited ECU's, retarded ignition timing etc all to meet Euro 3 and possibly in this case, Californian emission regulations.
Also, my reference to AMA, WSBK, MotoGP is in relation to the two people in the video - the crew cheif and head mechanic of an AMA Superbike team. That'd tell you they probably know how to tweak a decent adjustable ECU to get some good ponies out of a motor, rather than just bolt things on and hope the numbers add up.

It's better to not pass and know that you could have than to pass and find out that you can't. Wait for the straight.
My 04 zx10 put out 157 with slip on (baffle removed) with PC3, air filter and secondary butterflies removed (so pretty stock) on a custom map. It was 154 with baffle. Without custom map it was 152 (but all mods in).
Lets OT the thread with a discussion of comparing dyno results across dynos aye?![]()

The new '10 looks good on paper but they've done the same as the did with the first ZXRR MotoGP bike: got one bloke to design the front and another to design the back. All pointy angles at the front and a funny lookin' blob of an arse end.
I wouldn't mind so much but the back is all I'm gonna be lookin' at, albeit briefly.
If Jimmy and Craig have finished with the cock measuring?
Has anyone looked at the price for the Kawasaki? I heard $28000 from somewhere.
If that's true, then the BMW is a very real alternative, and ten times the bike!
