    Thumbs up Burt Munro

What an epic week! Myself, Tom the Mad Westy from Waitra, and Jason McPitbitch all loaded up a camper and trailer and headed off for a week down south.

    I took my Pre89 Bike
    and tom took his SV

First up the Bluff Hill climb:

I did not to bad in the hill climb and was leading all day till the last run were i finished up Third, there was half a second between me and the guy who won and two tenths between me and second! (quick thank you to Drew who i called for some last min tips)

    Teretonga sprint races:

I qualified well at the sprint races 2nd (in the wet) but come the first race it dried up and down there they don't separate the big bikes from the small bikes so i Got eaten up by the big bikes especially on the front straight its a long straight and i just couldn't keep up with the 750s and 1100cc machines. so i finished in fifth. and the second race is much the same as the first.

    Wyndham street race:

Now the street race was interesting i qualified second again but led the race from the start and held every one off till lap three were it came unstuck in turn one, i went down hard in turn one and the guy in second place also crashed there with his bike slamming into the back of me!!! i shifted the big square bales a fair way and was pinned under my bike in a lot of pain, by the time they got the bike off me they kept me down and told me not to move and that the ambulance was coming. I was able to hobble in the ambulance despite them wanting me to stay still. I'm still stiff and sore now with a swollen/bruised tail bone, knee and inner thigh. (i have some on board footage of this will post up soon)

My bike come off very well with only a broken clutch so i thought bugger it ill keep racing. Restart first race and i got the lead only this time i couldn't hold it three bikes go past and i just follow them, i look back and see a large gap so just sit there to take a sore forth,

Second race and i'm still very sore but want to push more i got lead of the line again but was quickly in third place following the leaders and thats were i finish..... but as i cross the line and button off i'm taken out from behind and slam on to the road on the start finish straight by the guy in fourth total my bike smash the engine open with bits hanging out bent the forks stuffed my helmet and ripped a few holes in my leathers! i get up and run to the guy who also crashed and let rip with some language i learnt from my father in the cow shed!! but he doesn't move so i pick my bike up and push it back while the ambulance picks him up.

And just to rub salt into my wounds the gave the guy behind me third and said i finished forth!! but ill buy the dvd and then ill have proof were i fished! i think it may of had some thing to do with using motocross transponders.

Was a wicked week away and i really enjoyed watching the speed way after Teretonga (that looks like some serious fun!!)

    Big thanks to......

Fag pants Tom Tom the westy from Waitra!! wouldn't of been there if it wasn't for you!

Jason who looked after us both down there and put up with us on and off the track!

Dunlop for the black sticky stuff

KiwiBike motorcycle insurance! who have helped both Nicki and I SO SO MUCH!!

I should also thank Whitelock Suzuki (Wanganui) and Progressive Design (Waitra) for helping Tom out as if he hadn't gone i wouldn't of been there!
