Hey Dave - the truth is that i found the sad outcome from Pike River so upsetting, that i just wanted to stay at home. There will always be days for me to get out and ride, and do the things I want to do. Those 29 men lost their opportunity to do what they want. It made me sad.

    Indeed
I wasnt on the ride as I was working in Hokitika. Grim time to be on the Coast.
Experience......something you get just after you needed it

Don't think it matters as long as you can hit and hold highways speeds??

Size doesn't matter. Main pre-requisite is that you come to have a good time.

I'm sure some ladies would argue that a minimum size is required to have a good time . But clearly anything larger than a 400 is compensating for a deficiencies in other areas

If you can make it around squids corner you'll be ok on this ride, by the way you hold king of the hill as you got at least 3 times higher than Cloggy's effort, last Thursday night. Welcome to KB Ren

Great ride last night. Excellent turn out as always. I personally had the best run over the hill that I have in a long time. Perhaps 7 days of riding in the South Island got me into the swing of things but pegs were scraping and I stuck with it. Had a great time! Thanks all for another good night - looking forward to next week already

Think you've defo reached the limits of the bike, time for a sports bike. or adopt a dirt tracker style boot on the ground, sliding it round the corner approach
