Sobering read an poignant for me due to my own accident back in May. I can understand what you're going through and admire your attitude and fortitude.

Right back at ya. I've been quietly following your progress for a reality check. You keep it up too please.

Thanks mate! I've got so much to live for. My family has been my rock, all of them from wife and kids to brothers, sisters and my Mum! I've been priviledged to have the best of care. ACC, or at least my own ACC manager, has been brilliant and I haven't wanted for anything I've needed.

I've nearly died five times and never taken life for granted but crashing as I did has been a life-changing experience. Will you ride again?

You special guys, who take one for the team and live to tell the tail, are saving many of us from potentially doing the same. Thanks

Educational read mate. I guess from my perspective it's good reading what it's like from the 'patients' point of view....

You're probably sick of hearing it, but it would be a very empty world without you mate. Thanks for sticking around. And having the ability to write so eloquently about what most of us would want to try to forget.
And I to my motorcycle parked like the soul of the junkyard. Restored, a bicycle fleshed with power, and tore off. Up Highway 106 continually drunk on the wind in my mouth. Wringing the handlebar for speed, wild to be wreckage forever.

I am humnbled to say that even though I make a living from words, they somewhat fail me right now. Apart from these meagre few.
May you continue to heal, Sir, and continue to express yourself so eloquently.
    ... and that's what I think.

    Or summat.

    Or maybe not...

    Dunno really....

You certainly made an impression with your words,
All the best for the recovery road trip.

I am surprised you can remember things so vividly. I was even more shocked to read that it happened at 75kph. Thanks for the first hand write up. Was hard to read, but I am sure not as hard as reliving events when writing.

Thanks again Jim, your eloquent words have given me a taste of the pain and shock of having a serious "off" without even being there! So pleased that you are still with us, still sending out your words, that we all enjoy reading so much. Hope to see you on the road again one day.
