Let's have a great turnout Saturday folks! It's a really good cause!
And I to my motorcycle parked like the soul of the junkyard. Restored, a bicycle fleshed with power, and tore off. Up Highway 106 continually drunk on the wind in my mouth. Wringing the handlebar for speed, wild to be wreckage forever.

A girlfriend once asked " Why is it you seem to prefer to race, than spend time with me ?"
The answer was simple ! "I'll prolly get bored with racing too, once i've nailed it !"

Was an awesome day, well done to the organisers and noted that not a policeman in sight. Goes to show how well Bronz are respected for their organisation skills. Only downer was swallowing a plateful of nachos at the P & G before hitting the Paekak Hill home again

    Was there any media coverage?

It's these sorts of things we should be ensuring are put in the public eye.

There appeared to be a number of 'media' types around doing impromptu interviews. Hopefully in the next day or two we may see the results. Being for the SPCA, it certainly attracted a lot of public attention and everyone was very generous with their donations.
$1200 handed over and that was before the collecting buckets were counted. (and I know of one guy who put in a $50). Also, the SPCA van was filled to the roof with food and blankets. Not only from the biker community but due to the advertising, we had joe public pulling up in cages with boxes of goodies to donate.

A perfect day for riding and a brilliant result for the cause.
I'm only wearing black until they develop something darker

No-one put any $50s in my collection bucket, but a number of older ladies came up and enquired why us handsome young ruffians were collecting for the SPCA before putting a fiver or two in the bucket.

A BIG thanks to the organisers, great job!

I was riding the chair, I managed to keep up and even led the pack for a good part heading into Wellington. Here's a couple of pics, sorry they aren't better, my 11 year old swinger was driving the camera

As a side note I rode the toy run into town today, was last in by a long long way. Nobody told me it was a race......but I'm not complaining, was still a good ride.

He's not so bad - he's captured my RF just behind your outfit! And I do believe that's DJSin's Monsta just beside you too...

My 11 year old Tim had a ball too - he decided to go with his Grandfather for the ride as I was doing marshalling.

Hey - did you ever get to the bottom of what caused the rear to lock up on the motorway?
