And in a totally unrelated vein...

Anyone want to go for a ride sat afternoon?

Meet at my place and bring your own shovel.

We may have to dig ummmmm. Bikes out, yeah that's it, bikes out, of, ummm, gravel, no! Mud, yeah, mud, not gravel at all. Did someone mention gravel? Not me, noooo.

If a group of like minded individuals with motorcycles lined them up in the gravel facing away from where te gravel was to be deposited...

    I've seen Fran's tyres...not exactly gravel chuckers!

My 125 has gone to a happy place up the Wairoa Gorge!

Told the boss to get stuffed today & went over the Maunga this avo. Went up the Tinline to the end - well to the last skidder site anyway. There's kms & kms of gravel roads, firebreaks & tracks to explore. Maybe well worth an expedition sometime.

Does anyone know how to get onto the old Whanga rd? Both ends seem blocked off. I have found it from the Duffa rd entrance somehow a while ago - would be a great supermoto practise track.

Edit - congrats Will con selling the lil bike - now get a bloody 650 (or a 350-400 at least) When Schmidtty is back up & running you can borrow Gonzo for a blast.

Fairly on purpose, I'd like to have another crack at his driveway (3kms of gravel ) he's going to use it to get learners and commute to Brightwater.

Bigger bike is on the horizon, probably a 05+ DR-Z400E, but depends on the paitience/saving ratio

See y'all at th xmas toy run, will be there with Luca inspecting the bikes!

The ride doesn't get underway till 11am so if you want to come around before 10 we can tinsle you up & head off. The girls willl get pretty bored & hot if they hang around too long at the start.

I have just spent 3 days in Nelson on business; what a great place. Did a little driving around (in the company cage) after work and it looks like there are a few good places to go riding.

I would really like to do some riding around in the region in the not tooooo distant future. Perhaps a South Island tour starting at the top.

Yep there's plenty of riding - 5mins from the centre of town to day trips to Golden Bay, Marlborough, The Sounds, The Nelson Lakes, Murchison etc etc etc.

When you're down next with your bike put up a post & we'll show you around. (I will have to ride your bike tho - it's just what I do...)

I'm keen on a lil excursion out this weekend. Anyone feel like doing something that doesn't involve wet clay? Otherwise I'll be welding shit together

A lot better tonite. I got a new panel socket so the leads can be swapped around & actually fit tightly. One of them was rooted so the leads were set up for gas welding put without any gas. I have to get a new earth clamp too.
I was wondering why there was sooooo much spatter. All in all I'm pretty happy with the welder - I see what they mean tho- when you start you want a few more dials & controls. I'll start making my pivot pegs in the weekend.

It's pretty fumey in the workshop.
