Stopping at the turn off onto the akaroa highway at the end of gebbies pass, and in little river.

it's only 160km to akaroa and back again....

Not getting the range at the mo, especially with the winds!

Can I suggest you think seriously about riding tonight, its blowing very strongly at home. Be careful out there today.

really? the gpx did 450 to a tank!
I asked God for a bike, but I know God doesn't work that way. So I stole a bike and asked for forgiveness.

Good ride tonight, bit windy but not too bad. The route round the bays etc was probably a better option compared to the akaroa one.

I see there is a ride tomorrow too... tempting...

My wee 250 has a 9L tank and with a rather big girl on the seat and some head winds, she struggles!

Good ride tonight, even with the winds, the wee girl got there slowly mind you! I was complaining of the slow ride to the pub, alhough nothing compared to the slow ride from Cass Bay to Lyttleton, stuck behind an ambulance doing 30kmh, then the tunnel was down to one lane for maintenance and not mentioning a certain cameraman that frightened the crap out of me when he disappeared from my mirrors! Thankfully all good, just the camera wanting to ride the bike instead of being a pillion, hope you managed to get that on camera!

I have a feeling that the dude with the flag, was also packing a long board and my guess is that he was gonna jump back on it once we'd driven past and head down that hill also.

edit: did you have a gremlin pushing your camera onto its side?
