Have you got a video camera?
I'd love to see how one acts tough on a GN250

    Fully agree. Apologising is overrated.

May the bridges I burn light the way.

I rode across Turkey once on my R75/5, learned very quickly that motorcycles are at the bottom of the pecking order. When a truck is coming straight at you overtaking another truck....you get out the way...no finger, no shaking of fist, no chasing them and ripping of their mirror.
Car drivers take great offence at being passed by motorcycles and will pull out the stops to get past on the flat bits..... In fact riding in Istanbul is a great way to learn riding survival skills.....slighty more mad than Auckland traffic....at least donkeys are slow.

    Yes.
I tend to give folks second, even third, fourth, and fifth chances - unless they have tried to kill me on the bike
Then they get some coaching and mentoring advice relating to road-sharing behaviour.

And while I see that "Punching windows only leaves the impression that bike riders are also a bunch of knuckle draggers", the odds are that at least we will be live knuckle-draggers.

It's not just motorcyclists that get targetted by bad drivers and the criminally insane. I had a truck driver try to kill me in a road rage incident when in my car on the Southern Motorway late one night. It was right out of that movie "Duel".

He was tailgating on the Harbour Bridge, so I flashed my brake lights at him. He backed off honking furiously and then roared right up behind me with his lights on full beam. He then followed me like this for several kms until the speed limit went back to 100km {from an 80km area}.

He then changed lanes, put his foot on the gas, overtook me and then jerked the truck and swung both his trailers at me! Missed me by inches!

I got a partial plate and reported him to the police. He was charged and spent some time in jail and lost his license. Later found out it was his 3rd road rage in two weeks, plus he later got arrested for domestic violence. And all this stemmed from his newly acquired P addiction.

So it's not just cause of the bike. People are just nuts!

gotta wonder how many of these incidents involve that drug, my guess is it's pretty high.

Though I hear palmy has a fair bit of P, and never had a bad run-in here.

Precisely, I rode home in one piece and he didn't end up with a ticket for careless driving causing injury (or death), so a win-win in my book. I'm pretty happy to weather the disapproval of the KB softcock brigade if it means I get to stay in one piece.
