maximum speed of 20 kph, it takes 14/20 hrs or ~40 minutes. I did it on the Hornet 3 weeks ago, no problem at all. The unsealed section is more like steering your bike at slow speed down a 14km driveway. As long as you
don't touch your front brake at all, there is very little risk, especially as there will be others around to help and guide you...

huh 20kph on shingle on a road bike......that slow??????? where did you learn to ride on shingle.Im sure there may be a few of us around that road old BSA's, Trumpys, or AJS's when we were youngins at a good pace on shingle roads.
Gloplug....you should be one.
20kph.......I guess the world is changing, the old Dunlop fabric tyres were pretty good on shingle .....oh yeah, too much horse power in the modern bikes.....
To be old and wise, first you must be young and stupid.
