    Harley Sportster brake cable end?

I am trying to get a certification on a 1959 Cushman Eagle. I have to change the brake rod to a cable for compliance. Anyway, I had to shorten the cable and I need a new end crimped on. Can anyone tell me someone or somewhere that might be able to do that? In the Bay would be preferable but I'd ship it somewhere just to get it done. Cheers.

Why on earth do you have to ditch the rod? Thousands of bikes still run about happily with them...

A decent bike shop (HD or old british bike one) should be able to sort the cable or there are specialist folks that do custom ones... (sorry - only know the ones in wellie)

Anywhere with a 4 jaw crimper can do that for you. If you get stuck we can sort it out though.

Yes, it's the bent rod that's the problem. Seems, there's no way around it.

    If it's factory, it's fine.

Oh, don't even say that. After all the hassle I've had to do to get this thing certified if I find out I didn't need to do that I'll lose my mind. I was told I had to change the brake rod by the guy who certifies the bike. Along with high beam indicator, e marker indicators (despite the fact it doesn't even have to have them) baffles in the exhaust (ok it's ridiculously loud), and brake light switch on front brake. It may have to do with the fact that it was only imported about 2 years ago and it does have a modified engine.( not sure if that matters)
