After the North Island invasion of the South in '09 the southerners were so humbled by our riding godliness they have been too scared to attempt an invasion of the North.

Every so often it is rumoured, but it never happens.

Yip I'm in..... pending permission from SWMBO

I don't feel so bad about not riding up it now I know it was kinda up there on the gnarly scale of adventure biking, I got further up the Havelock pylon track than I did on the mackley

I invaded the North all by myself last year, and if I recall the North was so blesed with my presence they even put on a fireworks display in my honour

on the last night
and to celebrate Nordies b/day too
