So, wasn't sure where to put this, so figured here was just as good a spot as any...
Finished unpacking all my gear and setting my room(s) up again over the weekend, internet on and so forth... Hope everyone had a great New Year! I got to watch the fireworks going up off the Sky Tower, which was pretty cool.
Things down here are MUCH quieter, which is a little unnerving at first, compared to the busy (and noisy) city life. Being away from the farm for so long, it's been a learning curve coming back and getting straight into it boots and all. So far it's going well though, thankfully! I am actually enjoying the change of scenery, learning all sorts of farming stuff...
The best part so far is that the house I've been given has an outside 'sleep-out' room, which I have decided to use as a makeshift workshop to start putting all the pieces of the bike back together again... It's going to be a fairly slow process though, still haven't been able to find a couple of parts for it, and the fact that I don't get much time off from working on the farm to work on the bike. Oh yeah, and when I'm finished a good day's work on the farm I'm actually pretty shattered doesn't help either! So it might be a while before it see's the road again. No rush though, so far I have welded up an engine support frame as a starting point, even though I'm still doing some bits and pieces to the motor it helps having it raised up and supported nicely (instead of sitting on a couple of bits of wood on the floor!)
So, all in all things are going well down here in the sunny Waikato.
(Oh yeah, just remembered, must update my 'location' in my profile, too...)
