Two speed camera fines within 20 min!

Yes I know, as the saying "you do the crime..." but got home today to find not one but TWO letters from the Police, I think you can guess the rest.

They were both from the same camera and 20 min apart on New Years day. From memory I just nipped out and back then out again. Gutted!!

Was a 60km zone trap in a sleepy town up north so I won't go into detail regarding speeds etc, how bout I just plead the 5th...

Both together equal the best part of a weeks wages... (I know, I know)

    Just needed to vent...

I feel your pain, although it sounds like you were a bit more than 5km/h over the limit...

I got one yesterday from Whangarei on the 1st. We were on or way to visit friends and I was apparently doing 55km/h in a 50 zone! Bummer! Of course they did trumpet that 4km/h tolerance for the holiday period... But on the bypass route through Whangarei is hard to keep watching the speedo all the time...

Yeah the wife got done on consecutive days going to work. Two tickets for around $170 if I remember right. Exactly the same speed at the same time nmade us a bit suspicious but then it was one of those ones on a pole so she should have known better.

Bummer but hey at least you wont lose your license. I like the "leave it till the due date and pay another $30 to pay it off"

Went out and back and then out again, so it was the same direction. Very lucky there are no demerits as you guys say - one is licence losing material (60k zone).

Not after any sympathy, just have to wear it (and maybe slow down???). The part that irks is the delayed punishment. As in, if I had been punished the first time I wouldn't have done it the second time, bit like Corse1's Mrs situation.

This weekend just got a whole lot quieter.

Interesting point - that you committed a crime and were caught, found guilty and fined. Yet you did not have the opportunity to be made known of the errors of your ways (even though found guilty) so did not have the reason or opportunity to say "hey I was wrong and have learned from my mistake".

never really thought of it that way and see why it irks you.

Oh dear...not pleasant, a friend of mine did the same thing....went past the snappy vehicle, noted snappy vehicle, thought Oh fcuk, then drove past the same snappy vehicle 30 minutes later to be snapped again!

Some days you just know you should of stayed in bed!
