Not a problem at all. There is a reflector which most people should see and the brake light still works. I chewed through heaps of bulbs on my Scorpio. Buy a spare and keep it under the seat, especially when you go in for the practical road tests.

That was a great fun ride tonight, perfect weather! The skies on the way home were amazing!

Scott, it was fun following your sexy Ducati. That thing sounds niiiice!

Nino, I didn't get a chance to point out that your tail light is blown. It spluttered a few times on the way back then seemed to die all together. Watch out for the and all the tailgaters who can't see when you're braking ...

have fun on Sunday, see you next Wed!

Thanks guys for all the suggestions and pms.

At this stage Im hoping to go for a blank sprocket. 2nd choice will be the cutting and welding option. Getting one made sounds rather expensive but time will tell I guess.

When I do my chain and sprockets this time around Im going to invest in a scott oilier so hopefully it will be a yonks and yonks before I need another rear sprocket.

Well done Peetey. The first pic (chesty2) pretty much sums up the amazing contrasts in light making the ride interesting... Was it just me or did anyone else feel that there was an excess of about?

Yes there were a few and a bogey parked in side road...
No one looked at us, so suspect they had other fish to catch...

Yeah, between the two marked cars around Woodend and Amberly, and then the black unmarked Commodore we went past in the Weka pass, I was somewhat nervous about being pulled over for doing 100 on a learners, but fortunately they either didn't notice the L-Plate, or didn't care. I was wondering whether any of you had been pinged by the unmarked one, but since I was quite slow and well behind the rest of you, I guess you guys had probably already reached the Scargill turnoff and stopped for the regroup by the time he went past you.

Nice to meet you Scott. Didn't notice you parking close mate & no need to worry anyway. Rumours about me once going berserk with a hammer when someone looked at my bike the wrong way are factually incorrect - it was a rubber hammer
