+10 to that. Still a newbie at this game but we were well impressed with the site, the music (Floyd-head heaven on Sat night ), the atmosphere, friendly punters, awesome fireworks - and all of it centred among the best riding in NZ. Makes me proud to be a 'Coaster... even if I did have to make a wee contribution to the Federales for riding at 64kmh on a deserted Hoki back street

Great ride, great rally with great company - thanks to y'all. A lad on a CBR flagged me down 2kms after we gassed up at Springfield, pointing to what I thought was my back tyre. I stopped, checked everything and was just about to continue when I noticed the underside of my tent bag on the ventura rack had two ~100mm black holes in it corresponding to where the exhaust exits. Yep, the beast must have literally been smoking up in the hills - bloody lucky the heat and all the air flow never caused it to actually catch fire...

Bit of rain thru the lewis to reefton on the sat , but all part of biking aye.
Still humming from the great band sat nite and the dry run home today with a tail wind and not a cop in sight...... Still think the guy on the rocket 3 was a bit surprised to see me sitting beside him at the end of the grassmere straight

Great weekend, ride over with dangerous and co on saturday was good even if a bit wet, but the weather at the rally site was mint and the gear was dry this morning so all good.

The band was awesome although I guess if you're not a floyd fan it would have sucked a bit, fireworks were spectacular and the glow worms were cool once the nice man with the torch led us in, probably should bring one with you next time you take people there eh D

Mostly dry ride home although pretty slow, might have to bring some tread for my back tyre with me next time I go riding in the rain.

I was looking at that when I was behind you on saturday and thinking it was a bit closee, but had a nosey when we stopped and it looked fine, the rain must have been keeping it in check.

And good to meet you too.

You seemed fine when we saw you at hotdog before bed time, you must have got your misbehaving out of your system by then.

A couple of pics from the ride over, in the rain at reefton and into the sun at hoki.

A BIG thanks to CRUZA for looking after me best interests after getting attacked by the beer monster!! {and to D for being his usual fabulous tour leader} oh and to the people who flashed us and stopped the Amberly cop from exceeding his quota in one hit!!
