Na merely your opinion of his opinion eh,motorcycles are like women and theres plenty out there that quite happily spend a lifetime of $ on one that others wouldnt ride once, horses for courses eh.Edit, may i just add that probably works the other way round blah blah before i suffer trial by feminist etc.
Be the person your dog thinks you are...
I didn't pay for it, but the exhaust system on my bike reputedly cost $6,000.
A full system for my S4R was $7,000. It was $3,200 just for the slip-ons.
(I didn't have to pay for them either...)
That $4,000 is starting to look like a bargain.
After thunk: Yamaha have sort of missed the bus with that R1, Rossi rides a Ducati, and Fiat went with him. Yamaha don't currently have a sponsor.
True enough, and IMO if you take a replica and do some custom mods to it, it's no longer a replica.
A bit like the difference between a 65 'vette with matching numbers and original radio, vs one with a crate engine and an mp3 player.
Both are cool, but only 1 is still the real deal.
Again, only my opinion, but I think you'd find the market value would agree with me.
Keep on chooglin'
give me 31 k and I will ship you the same bike personally signed by Rossi and Max bygraves
Also I will give your missus a personal meeting with god
