oh by the way... a friend of mine took the latest for a ride and said its even better to ride than the older models... maybe he needs to try the latest and greatest?!

I'll be there +2 (I think Sayaka's friend might be coming along again.)

GSXR was a lot of fun, but I would get in so much trouble if I had that bike.

On the CBR I was happy going slow, on the GSXR I wasn't happy till I was going fast (and something about it made me want to go faster).

We went out to Maraetai in hopes of kebabs and pizza, but apparently the outlet in question was still closed. So off to Clevedon with Toto in the lead, in hopes of finding suitable noms... which were also closed. Gremlin takes the lead (again) and we head off the the Clevedon Hotel, which is open!

Much snobbery about Beemers, (too much) delicious pizza, cupcakes for Zeo, geekery, and intense discussions about Wanpo's new bike choice, we left. Fun was had, and I'm beginning to like this riding-at-night thing!

It's not just oncoming cars... On the way out of Clevedon Gremlin's lights were so bright in my mirrors I found myself jinking left and right to find the best position to avoid being blinded and having my night vision completely buggered. Also sticking my elbows out to block the light hitting my mirrors helped with that. I'm assuming they were on lowbeam but it was probably due to the height of the BMW combined with my low(ish) mirrors. I wouldn't want to be travelling headlong towards Gremlin's lights on highbeam. Nice lights though, need to get me some of those

Sounds like a fun time had by all and getting some good riding in! Gotta take advantage of these long summery days!

I was with my family scoffing down a chinese banquet in Manukau Rd, actually was pining for the feel of two wheels on some nice roads ...

As for Mr.Wanpo, I dare say he will be the proud owner of a cibby soon! And the rounds of squid shall be heard thereafter!

Booked in an R1 for a test ride tomorrow. The ZX10 doesn't really appeal to me, but I'd like to complete the spectrum.

Sounds like a good excuse to ride a lot of bikes to me! They can smell the money on you!

They were worse the previous week. I knew the lights were way below where they needed to be (despite being given a wof right before I bought), so went to VTNZ to borrow their light unit. Set them to where the guys were happy, only to find they were incredibly high.

I think they are about right now, but yes... the lights are there to maintain daylight pace in the middle of the night, so I wasn't looking for the dullest lights I could find. Still, I know they are bright, so the driving lights and high beam were off, leaving the minimum on, low beam. Before I head south, another 4 lights will be fitted as well.

Oh, and in other news, the majority of the group was happy and WANTED me to lead? Tracey... you're slipping...
