No motorbikes for me this coming weekend; er indoors has a booking for mountain bike training up at Riverhead and I'm going for support and thrills of my own.

Actually, if it's fine I might be keen Sunday.

That is unless I go to the Fat Bikers inaugural get together at KFC and MacDonalds in the city.

I'll have to have the salads of course: I've managed to burn off 10kg in the last few months and just one meal at either of those establishments would add half the weight back on!

But anyway, if anyone is riding Sunday, let me know and I'll make a choice.

And this time we did turn up!
    2 Buells and a Harley.
By 10am no-one else had shown up so we rode down to Raglan, had lunch and then came back via Waingaro.

A good time had by all

Good on y'all. I was in Gisborne. I heard Din was doing overtime at work and Sharper_XB was painting I think. Raglan for lunch is a nice lil' ride. Did you go down 22?

Like AJ said...he has only been up here for a very short time...

and when it comes to "getting you lot out more" ?

You are joking right? I ride to work most days and its not often that I'm not out on the bike at the weekend...but I tend to be riding north of Auck cos I got a lot of mates living north ... but that certainly doesn't mean I don't know a few backrds on the sth side :-) As AJ is finding out, we south-siders have got some fabulous roads right on our doorsteps with no need to travel the tedious motorway

And I am always eager to explore some more...hell yeah! Just don't take me onto gravel, hate that shit, 1 or 2 kms is ok but 4 or 5? Bugger that. Thats what puts me off taking the Ohautira Rd from Waingaro through to Te Uku and onto Raglan. Wish it was sealed all the way cos that would be such a nice loop to ride.

    sigh...

Yeah just messin with ya's, I know BB your a demon like me ride to work every day, me poor buell is getting tired just waiting for it to go POP. promise no gravel if I can help it. I feel a full kawhia / waitomo loop may be in order shortly, need to set aside a full day though as its a biggy but that is one splendid piece of tarmac. Paeroa this Sunday is a go'er we usually go for a wee ticky tour early while the practice's are still on and arrive Paeroa mid morning if you two are up for it.

we never seem to end up on the same rides, one day....
