Hiya Hitch, we could have fixed that easy but we have to know about it

    Hey Mr Evil,

I have an older rapid jacket, Was just wondering if it is possible to change the hard armour out for the flexi stuff?

If you can access the hard armor (ie if it has pockets for the armor instead of being sewn in) you can just buy the knox flexiform armor either from Quasi or the knox site and swap it out yourself in a few seconds.

Otherwise you'll need to take it to someone to get it done (I think ratti is the local person?)

i have had my Q gear for at least 6(?) years... and crashed buckets, fallen off sidecars at taupo, gotten drunk and fallen over while walking (in my leathers) sure they are scuffed a "bit" and when i have the money, i will be off to see mr Q for a new set (2 piece )

    what a ride so far!!!!

I wouldn't feel too bad about that. I have a Teknic and ripped the liner (where the 'cheese sandwich' goes) on the first day... pissed me off no end.

linings fall apart. No matter what gear you have, no matter what its made of. Think about it, they are made of lightweight fabric inside sturdy hardwearing outers, you'd kinda expect them to eh?

Ease of replacement varies. Some jobs are very easy and others..yes...well... Replacment linings might not always be pretty, but its not the end of the world when they wear out.

Always worth asking about linings if you are particularly attached to your gear.

I've had my jacket for 2 years. Wear it every fine commute and in the weekends. A bit of care (snoseal) and it looks better than new. No issue with the lining or pockets and they get used. Zips / everything is a.ok.

Also had my qmoto gloves the same length of time. Only thing I've had replaced is the velcro but that is wear and tear due to the sheer amount of use.

So impressed, I recently bought some qrace pants.

Go up and have a fit (try gear on that is). Would I buy again - definitely.

PS: The armour is fantastic and is fitted extremely well. It doesn't move about like other gear I've tried on.

My wife was wearing her Quasi jacket when she had and off. She now has new bike / pants / gloves / helmet but barely a scuff mark on the jacket.

I have a Quasi Rapid blue jacket I used daily for 2 years. The zip on the right sleave has lost it's tongue (is that what it is called? - the toggly bit) but still works just fine. The other sleave has something that scratches my arm sometimes, if I'm wearing a short sleaved shirt (which is most of the time) I have yet to turn the sleave inside out to see what it is.
Have just bought myself a 1 tonne textile jacket for commuting because I do 1/2 hour each way and want to carry lunch in my lunch bag rather than wet weather gear.
Still prefer my Quasi jacket though.

It will be the edge of the Vecro holding the armour pocket together, re align the velcro so it doesnt irritate you or clip it back with sissors

Cheers Quasi, thought that would be the case, but haven't been bothered enough to turn the arm outside in to check. Like I say it sometimes irritates me.

    Q Street 2 piece

Mines 14months old and all good, only small gripe is the red Q has faded and is pink now so looks kinda g.......y, need to make it black or something but dont want colour to run, dont wanna unpick cause it'll leave small holes.
Minor stuff so would get blue instead next time.

Yep I will agree with that. Spool pants..lining crapped out in 1 year. Mohsin pants lining crapping out after 1.5 years.

I am in the need for two piece leathers soon so will be visiting Dr Evil sometime this year as I have heard very good reports on the qmoto gear.

really, havent heard of that before, we could probably get another logo for you to get sewn on?
I had one customer who liked them to be black so he got a market pen and coloured it in, looks kinda cool to, maybe thats another idea?
