Gotta look cool to all your hog mates.
Can't be seen waving to no other bikes...
me on the other hand... pretty much wave to every bike. Most don't wave back to me. Maybe they are too surprised LOL.

Took the kids to the end of the road to watch them go past.
The kids loved it.
Lots of folks waved to the kids.
I did go over to Raglan yesterday to fly the Suzuki flag amongst the Charley Fergusons...interesting morning.
First off, many of them were heading towards Hamilton as I went out. I would have seen maybe 50 or more, usually in packs of ten or so. I got ONE wave...
I also learned, very quickly, to keep way left on my side of the road. Why? Because I encountered several using my side of the road...can't imagine why. Which just goes to show that such behaviour is not confined to lunatic sprots bike riders after all...
Got to Raglan and parked the gixxer beside the hugest H-D I'd seen. Perhaps fortunately, I did not get to see the rider - no doubt he would've pushed a Suzuki over the rolled over it on his way out...
Met a bloke who owned a CBR600RR. He questioned my sanity in bringing a Japper to such a rally. He'd left his in the shed all weekend...I told him "hell, I come over to Raglan regularly whatever happens to be on." Besides, nobody assaulted me nor me bike neither...basically everyone totally ignored me - as usual.
Plenty of chrome on display though - more shine than Macleans teeth. And lots of noise to go with it. I can imagine the more reactionary residents of the sleepy seaside hollow may have been pleased when it all ended.
Caught up to a pack of them on he way home - just at the bottom of the hill. The temptation to go blasting past the whole lot along Karakariki straight was almost overwhelming...but a little voice said "you're 60, not 16 - don't be a tit." And another voice said "don't listen to that namby pamby fuckwit - you're a long time dead. Get into it ya wuss!" By the time both voices had finished blathering on we were all at the end of the straight anyway so no go...
Overall it looked like a great weekend and everyone seemed pretty happy. I was glad I hadn't had to foot the bill for all the hardware that was on display.

Yeah. That is their rolling thunder ride. Was a pretty impressive line of bikes.
Our cat followed us down to the end of the road, once the bikes started coming she took off. We haven't seen here since. Kids are not happy about that.
Letter drop in local letter boxes, we are rural, so there is a pretty good chance she has been eaten by a local dog!
Mostly they will ignore other riders, but funnily enough, love waving to kids. Even when we were in the car later that day, if a bunch of them came past the kids waved and almost always got a wave back.
I didn't go, the whole big group thing isn't really my scene. But liked watching all the bikes go past. Plus I am an anti social git and prefer my own company or that of a few others.
I reckon I know somebody that might be on a mission RIGHT NOW to go get their first tag.....
