Thanks, but I just want to get back to life as normal (if such a thing exists any more). One day soon we'll all take a break, but not just yet.
Don't blame me, I voted Green.

    Yay, we has lectrick back

Ironic, we got smashed in the september earthquake, this time just a bit of sand to clean up and a slightly iffy sewer system. Interesting watching the people on tv talking about liquefaction and fucked roads, just thinking yeah been there done that, and it sucks.

    But anyway,

If anyone needs a bed, a bit of floor, garage space for a bike or just somewhere with lights and running water and cold beer in the fridge to hang out for a while please let me know. We also have an empty flat that is intact except for it's chimney missing if anyone is homeless, it's not going to get rented until we clean up the silt outside so if you want it for a while please let me know.

    Hey everyone!

I'm very thankful for all the kind messages of support I have had from fellow KB members in the days after this terrible tragedy. I thought people would be busting out the champagne at the mere thought about the possibility of my untimely demise.

I came out of the quake unscathed, but I don't have power at my place so I haven't been able to use a computer until now, at my mates place.

If anyone needs any help with anything, fixing up the house, water, or anything like that then don't hesitate to contact me and I'll do what I can to help.

    Cheers,
    Chris

quick post to help answer a few messages sent my way... I have been to or spoken with most SI KB rallyers 'Goblin' yet to contact Petra but her place is out of harms way, HOT (shit helen you have a lot of followers) is busy at work dealing with people that have had their lims removed on site by chain saw etc, however I can confirm her 100yr old viller has decesed, still livable like most houses on the flat be it no sewer water etc.
GB and lover boy Ant all good
Remember if theer is a lack of posts from locals its due to lack of power and or way to busy.

The areas I have been are under more mud and water than you can emagine, roading is 4x4 usage due to some massive holes and cracks, people are dealing with it well.
    cheers DD

I've heard from her, she's OK. I just got power back on last night. Water could be some time by the look of the street, but I have a good supply in containers.

Thanks for the heads-up D. - nice that so far all the Canterbury Rabble seem to have come through OK.

Is there any outstanding ones? have we missed anybody?

Thanks D. Thought that might be the case but good to have confirmation.

Thinking of you all at this terrible time. Wish there was something we could do to help. Big hugs to the Canterbury Rabble.

Been wondering how Bernie AKA Skyryder is doing. He's in the Cashmere Area.
Hope he and his family are all right. They have put me up more than once and look after me well when I've being riding down there. Thinking about ya all down there Dudes and Dudettes.
