    Wiring supplies in Auckland?

    Where in Auckland can you get automotive cable in the different colours by the metre? and terminals?

    Repco, supercheap et al, or else buy a complete loom from a wrecked car and strip it - nothing wrong with it and much cheaper than buying new wire.

    Get yourself a meaty utilux crimp tool while you are there - not a cheapo pressed steel one. Doing your own wiring is fine - most of your problems will come from shitty half-crimped joints.

    Cheers.....but not quite what I am after. Years ago you could go to the likes of Civic Auto electrical and get all the wire in solid colours and tracer colours and the crimp/solder connections.

    Have you tried Jaycar electronics? They have 5 Auckland stores.
