    "takes about 5 times longer to boil a pot than the induction. Argh. "


    That's what I like about the gas hob - fast.

    Never used an induction.

    Gas BBQ


    Gas is good - you can keep cooking when the power goes out. Unless the line breaks and it all explodes of course.

    Just to be clear, my understanding is that a stove is a freestanding unit that has both an oven and a cooktop. Whereas a cooktop/hob is a seperate item as is an oven. Yeah, I know, I am a pendantic fucker!

    Had gas in the last place now have induction, put element on and wait ten minutes to heat up. can't wait until i get gas again

    I prefer gas. It gets the spotting knives up to temperature the fastest.
