I am in the need for two piece leathers soon so will be visiting Dr Evil sometime this year as I have heard very good reports on the qmoto gear.

Minor stuff so would get blue instead next time.
I could understand the pink bit if you rode a Honda.... but a Gixxer? Are you sure you didn't test ride a honda with the jacket on just once?

Quasi - Mine has also faded (the Q on the vengence jacket outside armour), but it gets a lot of use in the summer. It's just a fact of life with anything coloured red. Look at a red tank on a very old bike.... it will look pinkish.

I've only crashed once in mine. You can't see where I crashed. All the other gear I was wearing apart from my AlpineStar SMX boots was fucked.
And I to my motorcycle parked like the soul of the junkyard. Restored, a bicycle fleshed with power, and tore off. Up Highway 106 continually drunk on the wind in my mouth. Wringing the handlebar for speed, wild to be wreckage forever.

I have some qmoto leather pants, they are amazing quality! they fell really heavy and sturdy and look great too, i would have a jacket but they didn't have any in my size, so will get one made up eventually.

I have also got a full set (except gloves) of 1tonne gear which is also awesome quality stuff, especially for the price. I think everyone should check out or new zealand made stuff before buying the expensive as brand name gear. At least check it out first. Imagine the products and research these companies could do if we all supported them! Especially for what they can do now!

I've got a rapid blue from Quasi, had it for 3 years now; crashed once, and worn daily. the only things to go have been the zips.

Getting a little small for me now though =\

I find it really interesting that the title of this whole thread is "How does qmoto gear compare to name brand leathers?"
So far we have been going for 7 -8 years, how long do we have to design and supply our own brand to the market until it is ok to be called a Name brand ??

    Just curious is all

When Qmoto become a faceless corporation and people only buy the gear because everyone knows how expensive it is.

I'd be happy not being a name brand in your case......

You should send a free pair to someone on the GP/SBK circuit and hope they will wear them. Then everyone will want your leathers. You will become to busy and have to expand and then out source to somewhere else and the quality will drop but people will still wear them because some rider on the GP/SBK circuit wears them and they go fast. You now make only one type of leathers but make them in 100 sizes. Congratulations you are now a named brand.

I had never heard of you before, but im relativly new to the motorbike gear scene. But when i got a pair of your pants, i fully thought they were some expensive as foreign brand haha, comparing them to my mates dainese, i'd rather have yours!

Have you thought of taking some riding lessons?
I'm sure Katman would give you a few pointers if you asked him nicely.

You're specialists not a mass production cooperation. And that's a good thing, you show people you actually care about their personal safety. Name brands... they sell to make money in the motorcycle gear sector.
