    Thumbs up

Really appreciate the time put in to set the course up.
After running through it a number of times I began to get the handle on control of the rear brake. Builds your confidence quick when you can do repeats like that without pressure. Personally I thought the level of difficulty was spot on.

I think you have a point. It's small steps for a lot of people. I know a couple of good little cone layouts, nothing big, that should help. If I can I will make some drawings and post them or email them to phil.

Once the basics are mastered then they can be all put together to do a course. Good course but eh?

Yeah one of the hard things about NASS is there tends to be quite a spread of experience. While it primarily caters for newer riders it can be a bit boring for some.

I thought the newer riders did really well last night. I remember doing cone work when I first started riding and it sucked ass. I was so useless it was embarassing. This stuff is all about practice.

BTW, if any NASS people are interested in practicing some cone drills on a Saturday morning (one on one or in a small group), I know a couple of places to practice on the shore and am happy to spend a couple of hours with you. Drop me a PM if interested

Neon I think you provided a great circuit for a wide range of skills. The first level was accomplished by Orah a couple of times, who had only about 1 full fuel tank of experience in total before last night!!

The more advanced ones we're good enough for all of us to stretch our skills.

The one thing I would say is that we need circuits that don't cross or allow one rider to follow relatively close behind without problems.

We probably also need better directional markers, The hardher it was the more time you spent trying to work out where it went

    Damn good work though!!!

Great work Neon, I think the course was spot on for difficulty and once I found where I' supposed to go, I had a ball - all levels were well taught of buddy. good on ya.

Cheers for Russ and Heath for coming along and sharing wisdom and showing us how its done.

I'm thinking maybe some flat pieces of ply wood or something similar, colored with a flouro orange paint should be good for directions. I have a very good friend who is a carpenter so maybe we can knock something up with some plywood and a can of orange paint. I try and bring something next week so we can see it it is going to work.

Bugger, I've been meaning to come along to these for a long time now. Keep forgetting when and where they are though....

Edit: Are the details still the same as the first post? I'll make an effort to head up the road in a couple of weeks if they are

I'll tell you what would be really handy - if your mate could knock up a couple of 500x600mm tressel-style sign boards (you know, 'A' style, hinged at the top) with space for 'Caution - Motorcycles' or 'Detour' (or 'carpark closed'?) with LH facing arrows. With a couple of extra cones as well I reckon we could make the carpark a whole lot safer by diverting traffic around the front lane so they don't accidentally drive right through the middle of 20 bikes doing drills.

I've found that a burning car tyre communicates that message nicely.

Is there someone who usually rocks up in a car? Otherwise transporting said signs may be awkward
    What part of for(int i=0xC02;putchar((i&7)+69)&&(i>>=3); ); don't you understand?
