    Boots glorious boots

Just how can someone get so excited about a pair of bike boots? Very easily actually when they are purpose built for my short arse legs. I am bursting to try them out and cant wait for Saturday, B/DAY!

Can not recommend Peter Croad at Shoe Sheriff highly enough. Totally professional and what a fantastic job too!

How high is that gonna lift you up? Or...to put it a less dumb way...how much higher are the boots?

Bloody good jobs that. What's the tread like? Good non-slip for the road and bike pegs?

Gotta show wifey so it gives her another option. Her white Doc's are meant to be rubbish on the bike (and a bit too goth I think).

These are bog standard R-Jays womans motorbike boots, came off the shelf and straight to the cobblers. I will take some pics of the soles for you and post them later. The insert he put in is 12mm apparently, tell you what I feel like I am 10' tall wearing them

I am picking my bike up tomorrow, I will report back after my first ride to let you know how they feel riding

Anne was walking around in them last night and could clearly see the top shelf in the fridge...
That extra 12mm helps...I knew it!

12 mm DOES make a huge difference on the bike ... for the altitude impaired ...

We had to get a little bar fridge just so the wife could feel like us normal people See what I did there? That's man thinking that is.

Huh? I buy boots off the shelf and stick them on my feet... was the cobbler fellow desperate for boots and couldn't afford any?

I wonder how they will be riding? No doubt that will take a bit of getting used to. I will get the guys at colemans to adjust the lever on the spline if needed. I can fine tune it myself. I said to Maha, I might just go up SH16 and accross Woodcocks home. I may even keep going to Mangawhai, Waipu even. Who knows I may even get to go down Paparoa/Oakleigh...

Anyone been on Twin Bridges since the bad summer weather? That is sounding mighty fine for Sunday

I will be too sore to go to work Monday, so I will have to go for a ride

Have a look at this. Mind you he did say that he could have raised my current boots too, an option I had investigated and had been told was impossible The DOCs will be a piece of piss for him, I still have my DOCS
