TSS Red Baron King of Kaitoke, Round 4

Well why am I starting this? Just to remind all those that there is racing this weekend & we should do all the racing we can even if there is a spectacular Easter meeting the next weekend.

And to push a boat. Or rather a bike. A push bike I guess you would call it.

And they do, I want to talk about pushbikes. Though I think you pedal them rather than push so it is a silly name.

Where was I going with this? oh yeah; if you have a pushbike you don't mind loaning could you bring one along to Kaitoke for an experiment.

I don't have one or I would bring it.

As you know its a bit of a pain to get up to the top marshalling points. So can one pedal up to the top in leathers? - it would save time esp on way down again.

If cool we could buy a couple of trademe specials as pool bikes. Only question is whether Kart club would think it's a safe idea, but I can't see it being worse than marshals running up & down track & would actually speed up the process.
Don't you look at my accountant.
He's the only one I've got.

They let Andrew A ride the track on one wheel with no helmet, so they might be ok with that idea

    Bring on the racing.

Are we still going to get a full turnout considering it's gonna piss down and be a southerly?

So how many of you run slicks even if it wet? or most of you have a second set of roadie tyres?

Nah I'm looking forward to racing in the rain! I have new secondhand wets to try out. Racing in the wet on slicks can be fun, but I know there are a few who have wets so I recently got some. Also, it's even more fun racing in the wet when you have wets because you can go faster.

It might blow over, but considering they are forcasting wet weather for Saturday and Monday it doesn't look like there is much room for sun. Also Kaitoke is known for its own rainforest climate
