My results would look similar to Ducatilovers.

Sadly i don't feel like moving to Auckland, Wellington or Christchurch for cable just yet.

I might see how fast the upload is at WINTEC

NZ is a consumer of the internet not a supplier, well at least thats the way your ISPs see it.

    Pfffft, you've got problems?

I own an interweb cafe & spend a lot of time with grumpy faced traveler's trying to upload Gb's of photos & video to facebook etc. I don't have a lot of sympathy really, they don't cull their photos, re-size, edit etc, they are just being lazy, the net is a convenience store for them but the speed can be glacial at times & I'm one of the fastest in town...

I come here & post silly things to keep myself sane

The speed of my network fluctuates massively over the course of a working day & as far as Telecon is concerned the problem is with me not them.

That's probably because where they come from you don't have to

    Granted.
They don't take as many photos & videos at home either. Tis a steep learning curve for the travellers getting to grips with NZ interwebbery.

We have unlimited usage at an advertised 1000 Mbps ( yes you read that right )
We actually get 89 Mbps ......
When u complain , you get told its best effort , or you live too far away from the server
( its across the road !!!)

NZ actually ( in the main centres , from what I remember ) wasnt too bad you got a genuine 3 mbps international ( I or was getting I havent measured it lately ) 1.6 mbps
You also had a lot of wifi hotspots ( they are quite backward here with wifi,,it is getting better though )

Yeah but they have to have fast internet there.

You can by soiled undies, porn, girls and more porn down at the 711.

Over here telecom can screw us, because we have to get our porn from the dodgey indian dairy owner. And the only dirty knickers here are from a fat chick named "Rowana" from Kaikohe.
Reactor Online. Sensors Online. Weapons Online. All Systems Nominal.

0.88mbps up isn't what i would call working! I would glady trade download speed for upload. 2mbps down and 2mbps up would be fine. But no im stuck with 4 down and less than 1 up.

I don't care about upload speed. Just put it in a separate browser window and run it overnight, makes no difference.
It uploads magazine print .pdfs OK too.

Watching 720 video without spooling is the bit that works just fine.
