    Pom's are a bit special...

In addition to building a turbo-charged Z1300 with Nissan Skyline injection, ZX12R rear wheel adapted to take the Z1300 shaft-drive and Hyabusa rear shock - and with ZX12 front forks sporting Hyabusa brakes, ZX10 rear cowl and a custom built tank...

Tim's now building an Audi 2.6-V6 rear-engined VW Polo. Well what else do you do when you've got a blown Polo and Audi hanging around the workshop..?

Note the workshop Forman has a bird's eye view of the goings on...

He's perfectly sane and that will be mid-engined as the engine is ahead of the rear axle.
If a man is alone in the woods and there isn't a woke Hollywood around to call him racist, is he still white?

Nah, Tim just can't help himself. He's an enthusiastic tinkerer with a talent for mechanics that never ceases to amaze me! He was given both cars due to their owners' deciding they weren't worth fixing and he just put 2 + 2 together in his fertile brain. Thought it would be a fun thing to do...

Pretty awesome really, I'd love to have a go in it.
Would have been uber cool with the VW V6, the 15 degree block, that's superbly compact.

The Clio V6 are a brilliant little car! I'd kill for one.

Tim's an amazing guy. His Missus is a crackup too! He doesn't post much anymore, (Classic_Z), as he's so busy, but it's worth calling in to his workshop if you're ever up this way. He has a knack for fixing stuff that others give up on.

He's far too agreeable and his wife has to be very tough on him otherwise he'd be working 24/7! It's the reason his Z1300 turbo isn't finished yet, too busy telling customers to bring their cars in and he'll get it fixed for them...

I would tend to put him in the genius category, but he just has this ability to sit down and think things through, matched with 30+ years experience in the UK working on all sorts of oddball European machinery and a memory for stuff he's only briefly seen or heard of somewhere.

He's an IT nut as well and has designed and marketed workshop programs which he sells.

Like many of his type he looks boringly normal and you wouldn't glance twice at him down the street, but hand him a problem vehicle on two or more wheels and stand back. He's got a great sense of humour and a witty repartee that has you cracking up and to watch him and his Missus interact is a comedy show worth paying for!

I knew a "super" mechanic like that, looked like a small weedy guy (Skinnier than my 60kg before bowel evacuations) but, shit, he knew his stuff. Learned a heap from him.
