Why would anyone begrudge them making a show of power and prestige? you want them to get married in a registry office?
    Tall poppy at it's worst.

Religion is one of the most powerful motive forces in the world, why is the world so scared of muslims? they're united by their religion and are a very powerful force. They'll die for their religion and you can't fight that.
the poms deny their heritage and religion and divided they will fall. But this is another thread entirely.

That made my jaw drop more than anything else. A Lancaster flanked by a Spitfire and Hurricane. How farken cool would it be to have that trio at your wedding?!?!

...the Duke of Westminster alone makes more money flow around Westminster/London in a day than we as a small country could generate in a day...love 'em or hate 'em, they are the glue that holds the fabric of the Union together, and you would still be drawn and quartered by the faithful followers in any part of Britain if you started slagging them off in public...but then again we live in a faithless, soulless antipodean paradise where there is no leadership no heros of note and the last statesmen to be in control of our stuff was pushing up daisies a long time ago...

Oh and the queen's Bentley Royale. That's a nice car.
I like the fact they pack the lesser Royale's into mini buses.

Meh, good luck to them: what a complete arse of a job.

We were talking about it last night (SWMBO was watching for the frock) and we decided neither of us wanted their jobs: sure they never have to worry about the shit that we have to worry about, but the tradeoff is not worth it in my view.

Prince Philip's got not a bad job though: being a crusty non PC curmudgeon....
