Yeah. It makes it look like Rossi is bitching about the Honda being faster than his Ducati...which is odd when you check the top speeds of the bikes...

15.6 kph between Lorenzo and Rossi?
It's OK to disagree with me. I can't force you to be right.

Yeah how 'bout that!!?? I remember when Stoner was kicking arse in 2007 on the Ducati...and it was only because the bike was so fast. You'd think Rossi would do the same.

But anyway...how well did Dani go??!!

So far this season Rossi has achieved in underlining just how bloody good Stoner rode the Italian bike.

The last 4 races of the 2010 season that he finished, Stoner went 1st, 1st, 1st and 2nd. That is on the machine they are now trying hard to make competitive in 2011 - with Rossi and JB on board.

Dani did well. And has put himself right into the frame.

Very well. How good was it to see him open the bike up on the last few laps!

Yeah. A nice bit of race craft. Looked like he was doing his best - but was saving himself for the last. A well earned win. Mature race by Jorge too.

    It's called racing.

Yep, and I remember Doohan being a lot less complimenatry towards Creville when he did the same thing back in the day.

Top speed is one thing though, and getting there is something else. The Honda could well leap off the turns a bit better while the Duc could be more top endy, hauling arse on the latter half of the straight. There are lotsa ways to get round a race track quickly.

No argument Stoner is farkin' amazing (although not as amazing as his missus, couldn't have a MotoGP thread without mentioning Adriana ) but to be fair he had 4 seasons racing the thing, wheras Rossi's had 4 races.

Being fair - do I recollect correctly, that on his very first ride on the Ducati at Qatar, he blew the socks off everyone?

What a great race and Dani proved me wrong when during the proceedings I thought he'd eventually fade. When he wick'd that Honda up Jorge did'nt have an answer (Yamaha should be worried)

Biggest dissapointment was Simoncelli was'nt there to really spark it up.He will get there eventually and experience would of told him to cool it after both he and Stoner had plenty of warning in the first corner.Gotta love a charger tho cos there's never a dull moment.

Casey rode a good race and with this year looking increasingly like a Honda benefit the more points a Simo or Rossi can steal off of the two current front runners the better his championship challenge will be.

Yep. Doohan uesed to moan and groan all the time about that. Funny eh. As far as I'm concerned, if you're better than the guy you're accusing of simply following you, pull, the pin and fuck off. Nothing at all wrong with hanging with the guy (s) in front of you until the last moment and putting a pass on them so they have no time to do it back to you. It's called RACECRAFT.

You know how bikes get good top speed down straights eh mate? Drive off the corners. That's why the best race tuners strive to find torque more so than outright hp. Torque = drive = speed.

4 seasons? How many did Stoner have on the Ducati before winning the Championship? Oh that's right...1. Stoner also had poles, and podiums on his first year on the satellite Honda...a bike he'd never ridden before, in a class he was new too.

And beat Rossi in only his second year in the premier class, setting a fair few records along the way.

    .
No...I did see that mate. But that's not the only reason he's not enjoying kissing her!

And yep. I too was pissed of the mental WOP binned it. Was looking forward to seeing him go mental up front.

    Context is golden.

Dani rode a good ride, jumped out of my seat when he got past Lorenzo. Can't wait to see what he pulls up once he is fully race-fit.
Nail your colours to the mast that all may look upon them and know who you are.
It takes a big man to cry...and an even bigger man to laugh at that man.

Teaming up Stoner with Pedrosa looked like a possible recipe for disaster but it's starting to look like a masterstroke. Has Dani ever ridden better?

Julian Ryder likes his chances too.
