my bike would eat it![]()
but would not fit their rulez
- 111cc Air-cooled single cylinder 2 stroke
- 159cc Air-cooled 2 valve twin cylinder 4 stroke
- 175cc Air-cooled 3, 4 or 5 valve 1cyl. 4 stroke
- 200cc Air-cooled 2 valve single cylinder 4 stroke
- 85cc Water-cooled 2 stroke
- 159cc Water-cooled 4 valve single cyl. 4 stroke
- 185cc Water-cooled 2 valve single cyl 4 stroke
funny they think that 111 cc for a 2 stroke
and 200cc for a 4 poker is fair(how many 200cc 4 strokes get 30 hp ?)
seams they have been talking to Honda

CRF150rb 16.6 kw or 22 h/p
- 159cc Water-cooled 4 valve single cyl. 4 stroke
Engine
- Type - Liquid-cooled 4-stroke 4-valve SOHC single
- Displacement - 149cm3
- Bore x Stroke - 66 x 43.7mm
- Compression Ratio - 11.7: 1
- Max. Power Output -* 16.6kW/12,500min-1 (95/1/EC)
- Max. Torque - 13.6kW/10,000min-1 (95/1/EC)
I recon Chambers gp100 at 22h/p (last years engine) would give it a run for it's money and be class legal

Don't you look at my accountant.
He's the only one I've got.
The way to do a trans tasman challenge would be to invite a bunch of them over here and loan them good bikes and then go over there and ride some of their bikes.
It is fraught with difficulties like getting enough bikes and the sheer cost but it could actually happen one day...

This conversation has poped up before. Speedpro looked into an option for stacking bikes into a container and shipping them over in the 90's (I think; I'm sure he will correct me).
The cost is not as bad as you would think; (one of my work mates shipped his racing boat over there before christmas; for some national series??)
