I'm a fan, too. And I've er, heard. that series 3 is excellent. Quite slow to develop but the payoff is terrific.

Without giving anything away, you know when drama series that start with a theme, after the 2nd or 3rd series have less and less to do with that theme, and become more like a generic soap?

Do you own every series on dvd did?

depends what you mean by mushy: after the end of s2, s3 has to be about Jax recovering Abel from the people who kidnapped him, right? So that's the core story arc.

Bear in mind that the bikes and biker lifestyle are windowdressing for exploring Sutter's themes which revolve around a code of honour, do people do what is right, or what is expedient, family and family relationships etc. He is blessed with a clear vision and story direction, he has a seven series arc planned, and is blessed with an excellent talented cast.

I think it will be structured like The Shield (where Sutter was on staff): that had a seven series run, and the final scene of the final episode was directly relevant to series 1 episode 1, scene 1.

In my view series 3 is much better than series 2, and the payoff in the final episode is really good.

Check out Kurt Sutter's blog: He isn't very active presently because he is flat out writing (they may have even started shooting) series 4.

I have all the series yes. On err DVD.. perhaps not

I get where HDC is coming from and I can see the story arc, I just don't see why they can't keep what initially gets us watching in the series as it progresses (this is true for a lot of TV shows, not just SOA).

MY fav TV show of all time was the wire, a cop show with the emphasis on surveilance etc. They kept the idea of surviellance and technology going through the whole thing , while still telling an intriguing story (imo).

    Horses for courses I guess.

I would say my favourite series that was on tv was the Sopranos but I must admit the very final series 6 the second one ended really bizzare things can still happen there is a witness for something Tony did but they arn't going to make a 7th series

That one I own every box set to and got both series 6 before it was played here

I'm not sure why you're confused: it is very clear that Tony is shot and killed in the diner by the "Man in the Members Only Jacket" at the end of the final episode.

Nice , me too . But i recently found out that the main actors had a clause in their contracts for a movie once the series ended , and also that Tony is not dead ..
I have the 3 series on dvd of SOA , looking forward to #4 in october ..

I'd already figured out that every single perso inside that dinner had been in every single series episode the cubs, the truck driver, guys that tried to kill Tony while in the car and so on.I did feel while watching it when the truck driver was watching Tony in the dinner he was going to kill him.

I'll have another look at it tonight on tv

    Thanks

Another thing to note towards the end Tony was openly talking "family" business with his wife , this doesnt happen in the mob plus his kids were moving on .
He had gambling problem hence $$$ worries . His supposedly killing , was it or did he turn ..
    Just going my own way
