If you think that the country is the way it is today because of traffic rules then no wonder you wasted your money, you haven't got a clue do you, so i guess its just as well you aren't here.
And as for saying your on topic, nothing could be further from the truth and this isn't a troll so i guess yours must be otherwise![]()
NOBODY is disagreeing with you ... if YOU cock up , then fine , IF the playing field is level
WHAT we ARE complaining about is that the guidelines we have been told to follow are not good enough
Simple
If other countries can have decent road rule , then one should expect NZ to have similar ,,,,UNLESS they don't want to because the benefits for not changing out weigh the results of the possible changes

For a man is a slave to whatever has mastered him.Keep an open mind, just dont let your brains fall out.
please read what you wrote ,,,
you said that the "country is in the state it is in because of the traffic laws"
You HAVE to be doing this on purpose. NOBODY could be that stupid . NOBODY ( not even me )
You have got me , I cant reply ..................Im going to try , The traffic laws are a symptom of the disease
work with me here..... now out here in the wide world there are people who do not have your or New Zealand best interest at heart , they want to make money ,( union carbide )
The debate we are having is about revenue gathering through speeding .. the wider issue ( big picture ) is about why they need to get money rather than educate
paying a 20 dollar ticket ,,,,, is not the problem
Stephen
Im stuggling here , fella... I cant make it any simpler , or clearer ( and if I were off topic , PD is where is would be ..........
"Look, Madame, where we live, look how we live ... look at the life we have...The Republic has forgotten us."
Just as a matter of interest, what is traffic enforcement like in Japan?
it's not a bad thing till you throw a KLR into the mix.
those cheap ass bitches can do anything with ductape.
(PostalDave on ADVrider)
Very lenient but if you do f up oh my fing god its expensive
motorways speed limit is 80 odd but most people sit between 100 and 140, testing a blackbird isnt unheard off !!!
around the towns , speed limit 50 but most people drive 60
When, like now, they have donut drives ,,,yes just before Christmas and end of the financial year, they are just as sneaky
BUT reasonable ( actually yes , reasonable ) I was pinged , last weekend during a donut drive for no right turn , ( bugger me Ive been doing that for 10 years ) and because I have a gold license ( Im concidered a good driver ) he said you're getting the fine , but if you are unpinged for 3 months no demerits , IF you do get pinged ya get both sets AND lose your gold license ( cool I can ride the bike to work!)
2 years ago I was pinged by a camera for 90 in a 50 , a few points loss of license for a month and 100 000 yen fine ... meeeh I was over taking a truck on a clear dual carriage way ,,,just me and the truck ,,,,,, oh well them the breaks
Honestly I probably wont see a policeman for a couple of years , just unlucky ....
The old bill in general though , are pretty reasonable , I was passed out one night in front of the ticket machine , the picked me up took me to the police station , let me sleep it off in the front waiting room , then got me a taxi home ,,,
So back the next afternoon I went with crispy creme donuts for the whole office ( large box )
I don't know what to say ,,,I like it. what I would call reasonable

No, as per KB you have miss quoted me.
I wrote "If you think that the country is the way it is today because of traffic rules then no wonder you wasted your money"
I was meaning that i don't subscribe to your idea that obeying a traffic rule is akin to giving in to some tyrannical dictatorship.
You didn't need to make it clearer, i did what you meant and thought you where talking BS. I just can't see how your brain is working.
have a nice day.
Smart bastards using the carrot and the stick. Pretty obvious by the postings on this site that some kiwis would never understand now rewarding good behaviour could improve overall driving. Nope according to them you got trounce on even the smallest honest mistakes cause we all such perfect friking robots. Come home and be assimilated![]()
