well i still wear the one i got when i was 17... over 30 years ago and a million crashes... no armour in them those years.. just thick hides....(babyB has reconed it twice so far)

Yup mine is almost 25yrs old now, never been recondition, but I always use a mixture of beeswax and almond/olive oil .... and the leather is def' over 1.4mm thick!!!
