started work @ 0600, snuck away at 2 instead of 4 (still got paid ) chilled for a bit and have just come in from a 1hr run in a beautiful evening/sunset over Pirongia to a huge lasagne and 1/2 dozen teenagers from around the street having a quiet evening watching a snowboarding movie on the big screen.

    And new grips.

And gave the T-bird a polish.

Sorted out more of Mums stuff are realised (again) what a hoarder she was...
Linen from when they were married and the ones we inherited from my great uncle (who used to import Irish linen) - still in the wrapper, enough teatowels for every kitchen in the country,
1970s furniture that was hideous when it was made, but it was kept "just in case", boxes of kitchen utensils in the garage kept "in case the boys went flatting" - which was over 20 years ago. Time to move some of it along. Swapped over the TVs for dad so the good one is in the living room, rather than the bedroom where mum used it since she was in bed a lot.
It's a crap job - don't leave your kids piles of unsorted stuff to go through it is a crap job. She did start to sort it out but ran out of time.
Also got pulled over on the way home, but let off with a warning, as the cop said I could of gassed it up a side road and he would never have caught me, so rewarded my honesty... Fortunately I was on the SV which is still rego'd... First time in 10 years - I thought of saying that his behaviour was bringing the bad name of the cops into good repute, but wisely kept my mouth shut and took off very carefully.
