I decided to go with the metalgear disks and so far they're pretty awesome with the same braking performance on the road and on the track as the original honda ones that were on the bike.

Where did you get them from? And do you mind if I ask how much they were roughly?

you can get them from here http://www.showandgo.com.au/per/Mega....htm~mainFrame for $225AU without pads.

but i decided to get them with the organic pads (good for road use crap for track days) from a local bike dealer for $600NZ. this is for a cbr250 odds are the price would be different for your bike

Put some wavey discs on the gixxer and have noticed better braking performance. However they aren't as smooth now which I guess is from the huge air cutouts in them.

Will have to wait and see on the quality but I was replacing the Oem's cause one of them had play on the carrier.

You could import a set for less than $300 for a Super Four. Same disc as a VTR1000F, CBR600 (Cannot remember which model), CBR900 and a fair few others.

    eBay will help you out.

Can't see them for any less than $500. If anyone can find them for less than that I would be stoked.

Yeah I've spotted some of those ones before. I'm thinking of going for higher quality items now though, they are brakes after all.

What have you found in the EBC range?
How hard do use the brakes? Chances of these warping are minute unless you're Rossi. The pads you run are the biggest factor on them and braided lines make a bigger difference at the lever than the discs.

I haven't found any EBCs. I'm not to worried about the braking performance, it seems adequate to me. However I have just purchased it and it is pulsing so I just need to fix the current issue, that's all.

I really do not see any problem with those reasonably priced ones. Try google searching reviews or what not.

I have a set of Armstrong (I believe) on my bike since purchase, they work fine for braking, but I didnt have the OEM discs to compare
