Bought an AX100 bucket today - owned by a guy some of you AMCC guys may already know.....bike looks to be a beauty, #47.

Sorting transport and full leathers still....but its looking like the whole racing package will come well under $1,000. Thats including riding gears. Damn good value.

Big thats to Henk for putting me in touch with the Ax100 owner!

It might start out at under a grand, doubt it will stay that way. My first bike cost me $350 and I had all the gear already, don't even want to start adding it all up in case I cry. Been worth every penny though, in mates met alone.
As an aside I've been told that crashing in them 16 times invalidates the warranty on my leathers, does this seem fair?

Damn....i havent crashed in over 20 years. Guess I have some learning to do...I mean catching up. To be honest....Im glad Im getting some older 1 pce leathers to crash in hehehe. Keeps the road gears in good nick - in case I do one day come off at speed??

Bucket costs...it looks like the wee AX wont win any world champs. But Im happy with that - just having a blat around a track and grinning like a madman is worth well ore than the $500 the bike costs and the $20 a day it may take to run it. Oh wait. Parts may be an issues....hmmm.

I also had not come off in a good number of years until the wet mt wellie meet last time out, managed it twice on someone elses bike.

Practice will be on, will probably finish earlier than usual though, people seem to get bored easily when they are cold wet and miserable.

I wouldn't worry too much about engine parts...

I don't know if they are identical but prob sweet as a replacement if you have a big bang. (Not that you will, crash damage likely to be more of a prob)

I am sure its ok as long as its still not 6ft long and has training wheels on each side...

Make sure its well secured.. as there is quite a lot of force when the bike hits the track.... put it this way.. cable ties are no good...

Some dues use skate board wheels for the axles...
    One for the road...
