    RGV250 VJ22 Parts

I'm going to sell all my RGV stuff. Have almost everything apart from good barrels available, some new parts un-opened, such as cables, gaskets etc. Near new clutch, gearbox. Got really good forks, frame. Two front wheels, one rear. Very good condition set of discs. Brand new un painted set of race fairings. P.M. me if you're after something & I'll see if I've got it. Main parts will be going on Trade Me soonish. Also 8 litres of Silkolene fully sinthetic racing oil, un-opened. All VJ22 stuff.

Cheers. (had to enter something in price, obviously different bits will be different prices)
Do us all a favour, by bringing yourself up to speed, before pulling onto the motorway.

What sort of gearbox are you looking for? An SP close ratio sucker or just a standard VJ22 gearbox?

What else are you guys looking for?

I do have a box, butif that's all that's wrong with your current one it would be cheaper to fix that one. This one worked ok last time it was used but there's no telling how much wear it has on it. Last box I had done was by Mike Jones Gears here in Christchurch. He can fix the dogs etc for not a lot of money. I can dig out the info you'll need to do the job if you like.

I can't remember. I *think* (10 years ago) it cost me between 3 and 4 hundred to have the entire box done, including the selector drum and forks. In other words, bloody good value, especially given how well it worked afterwards. Personally I'd take the entire catridge in and have them estimate on it, but I guess that depends on whether you'd want to keep it long term or not.

RGVs have a bit of a gap between first and second, so second takes a bit of a hammering. To fix that, The Tuning Works have had new first and second gears made which are stronger and correct the gap. They're not cheap cheap, but it is two birds with one stone and an issue you'll never have to address again.

I'll try to find the info you need this weekend... I just happen to be cracking at least one open this weekend (assuming I don't get side tracked) to correct a shifter star that's out of alignment (at least I hope that's all it is) so I'll dig out the info then.
