Welcome to the portrayal of Israel in New Zealand newspapers.

Hadn't thought of it like that - is that accurate statement - no artist license?

Also - the original link... they stopped accepting my submissions LOL. I went to them and said I was interested in an even keel discussion, facts figures from independent sources (rather than simply quoting themselves) and prefer to avoid inflammatory comments...

They deleted that, and suspect they're blocking my IP. Speaks volumes really...

Actually I think you'll find that that's the original spelling. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Zeeland#New_Zealand

Going by the name of the guy on the site I'm guessing this is a freaked out Afrikaner reverting to the original Dutch name to make a point....

Hmm. That has a strangely familiar/family liar/far miler ring to it.

I wish I was exaggerating... Anything containing a grain of truth is taken out of context, distorted, and blown out of all proportions, the rest is just made up. Where do you think the attitude of an average Kiwi towards Israel comes from?
I can understand and rationalize when I come across a mental fart of a website run by a fringe left lunatic. It is a lot more disconcerting when canards of the same scale are published by an official newsrag.

Are people getting more and more stupid or does the internet just give them a louder voice...?

Who ever's behind this should work for the mainstream media they've got the necessary skills.
Inaccurate data and sensationalism, what a combination.

Lets face it these type of websites and forums are really just an internet version of talkback radio and you know what sort of people that attracts.
Life is a lesson-if I bother to listen

I wonder what takes for someone go to all the trouble of building a website, gathering and tweaking the data (if whoever made it went through the trouble of the gathering part)?
Is that a reflex of immense amount of free time and rate?

oh well, peace in your heart whoever you are.

No mention of the number of "innocent" overseas tourists that die ...visiting Europe ...

It has been noted in the past that many deaths on New Zealand roads ... are due to lack of knowledge, ability, and experience on the type of roads we have in New Zealand. Recently in MY area ... a small young child died because the (father) driver didn't put the handbrake on when he stopped ....

New Zealand does not have a monopoly on evil people ...
