That's a bit too quick for the trailer
I was doing some much higher early morning speeds on a daily basis; uphill and in a safe area: Until one day there was a cop car waiting for me at the top of the hill.
Lucky I saw him before he hit the 'ping' button. I guess the word gets around![]()
gawd, coppas. hate em.
They screw some of us for doin 106 in a 100 zone. And then their bumchums turna blind eye to others.
Argghhhh.
ok. rant Over.
You lucky lucky bastard.
Heh I think I know the guys. Even driven his car.
Scary fucken car, lowers the seat the faster you go.
Only 200 huh, thats pretty low considering he used to build the SuperV8's. Even did some of the engine work on that CAT camaro.
I bet it was him, he's a mad fella.
Don't expect speeds faster than that really - cop cars are good for 220kph, same can be said for speed camera's. Or perhaps we are just all too old now.
Reactor Online. Sensors Online. Weapons Online. All Systems Nominal.
Be a different chap, the one who got caught was a 19 year old, hard worker, paid for the car himself and it was a damn good example. The 850Ci are a superb bit of machinery, I'd love to own one, I've driven the 840Ci and passengered an 850Ci, the amount of miles you can destroy in one is amazing, haven't been in anything that'll do the same thing.
Even if he's not a superV8 builder, an 850Ci will happily tootle along at 200, as quiet as anything![]()
Seems about 180 is the cutoff, you'll die between 101-180, but after that you just gotta make sure you pull into your driveway with surgical precision.
Or was it first to bin wins...
i do remember hearing about two bikes racing back from up north, somewhere just north of Helensville....doing a wee bit over double the open road speed limit....when a cop passed them (goin the other way of course!!).
They then sped up.
They should list make and model for each. Would be interesting to see the spread based on whether it's performance based cars/bikes/shitty bombs being taken to their limit.
