Just stab them and then knock them unconscious. Put the knife in their hand to put their prints on it then flick it aside. Call Police. Tell Police they came at you with the knife but you diverted the attack at their wrist and stabbed them instead - they still came at you so you had to kick them in the head as well.

The issue is why you have a knife to hand.

If you do smash them bro, then tell the cops "i thought he had a knife /gun" and stick with it through the numerous interrogations, trials, hearings, media beatups etc that you'll get for hurting one of society's poor mis-understood lower socio-economic citizens.

yea but if it was john citizen chasing and grabbing a burglar naked he would have been charged with indecent exposure and indecent assault, you got away with it because you have a get out of jail free card and were perhaps wearing a willy tassle
