    awful awful travesty.

On hte other hand, I have a bunch of .45s of when they were good. Including White Man in Hammersmith Palais, Radio Clash, Rock the Casbah and Train in Vain.

Dont get me wrong, I love the Clash. If only they'd gone for a decent holiday after Sandinista! (or before: there is a good album in there, you just have to dig through a bunch of crap to find it: but is it a triple? no way.)

Even Joe, in later life, admitted to being a bit embarrassed by that album.

Oh, and I played these yesterday. Unfortunately the Psychedelic Furs one has got a scratch in the quiet part of track 1 side 1, but apart from that it plays OK.

I quite like the Undertones singles, but an albums worth of his singing gives me the shits. But "Teenage Kicks"? well its genius. The cover's pretty cool too, huh? Suck on that Mrs GooGoo or whatever your name is. How dare you recycle memes from my yoof?!??!
No argument there, Cut the crap....was....well crap lol. Sad end to one of the greatest bands ever

'This is England' however is the only good thing to come out of it imo. One of my fav Clash songs

Sandinista! has a few good tracks and a lot of bollocks lol

'The Clash' and 'Give 'em enough rope' are my favourite.

Got the singles box (CDs). Wicked collection there.

Also just got live at Shea Stadium. Wicked CD

Its really interesting to compare the Live at Shea Stadium CD with their earlier live stuff (on say Westway to the World): at the end, they were a pretty decent stadium rock band.

quite hilarious when you think where they came from.

    all good though

I think my favourite Clash track is still "Janie Jones" (or "White Man"). or maybe London Calling.

I got into the whole ska thing in a huge way based solely on the Clash covers of "Police and Thieves" and "Pressure Drop"

Maybe I shouldnt put Paul Simonon down: he lived in Camden and was a fan of that stuff.
