First thing you need to do is work out how to pronounce the bloody place. (any locals want to confirm how it is pronounced?)

Locals probably still pronounce it 'Oh-maru'. I still do.

As far as the 'big smoke' ... the stuff that came out of the Alliance Textiles' chimney used to be pretty big.

Good point about the pronunciation, guess as a ignorant honky I will just stick with Ohnm-a-ru. Going down on Sunday, have a small rented, power on so its all go. Haven't got a secure bike park but the bank has given its OK for us to buy a house as soon as we like.

If needed theres probably enough room in my garage for your bike until you get sorted, sing out if so.Theres also an outfit here with containers for rent if you need to store stuff until you get a house.

Bugger I missed this when it came up the first time, will miss being able to catch up for a morning coffee.

Kerry and I get through there often enough so I hope we will be able to catch up sometime, shame the job didn't work out I know you were looking forward to the change.
Its not the destination that is important its the journey.

So I have accepted a new job in Oamaru working for a small company as the engineer where it looks like I will be the only man working there.

    Any KB action in Oamaru?
Bloody hell, does this mean you're leaving us?

Not leaving just procreating in another location.

The old new job turned out to be a load of crap. Crowe and I will be working in Oamaru for a while. Got a neat job down there looking forward to doing it, and its only Oamaru.
