    Kapiti rides

would love to meet up with someone round the otaki area for rides. due to the fact i work a changing weekly roster , weekends are usually out. so anyone else in the Kapiti area in a similar predicament? I'd love to hear from you.

Winter tends to be a quiet time for rides due to the wet and the dark. Over summer there will be much more riding activity on week nights and weekends. So keep an eye on this thread ...

Right, time for a thread dredge. Who's keen for a ride somewhere this weekend? Quasi is on board, who else?

Saturday or Sunday suit everyone, doesn't bother me either way. Weather dependant of course.

I'd be keen but, as Paul says, the forecast is dismal. Play it by ear.

May have to go down to my mates, grab a beer and try to avoid drooling on his brand spanking BMW S1000RR.

How fast do you guys ride? I've only got a VT250 spada I don't think it will be able to compete with larger bikes

Not sure the weather will play ball after checking KP. Might have to sit this one out. If it shows promise over the weekend I'll give you a bell.

You're right it won't compete but then it's not a competition... and we do stop periodically to regroup.

There's also a group on Facebook "Wellington riders", or something like that, and they divide the bunch up into different grades of ability, so you can ride with your peers. Check it out.

I was at Rimutex at 10.30 a lonely sole.

Got hosed on and saw one black buell down Fergusson drive.

Hardy mothers me and that buell but couldn't quite bring myself to go over the hill.
