Yes they do serve caffine in a cup, as does the the Caltex at Diary Flat...
As for the weather?...food is best eaten in the outside in a garden bar right?

What I mean by that 80kph thing is, that is lowest speed to be maintained when possible (ie: straight bits)...for the real new riders that turn up, that can be fast enough and we have to take that into consideration. That is the whole point of these rides.
We have no problem with giving up every 3rd saturday or so to lead a ride at this pace.
I have said before that ...as a group ride, we ride as a group.
The slowest in that group basically sets the pace.
I couldn't do it every weekend, it would drive (sorry, ride) me nuts...
I admit that on the last ride I couldn't help myself at one point but I pulled it back soon after...

Ride 6 is only about 145kms, but for those coming from outside the area, that could be big enough with a lunch stop.

    Fair enough.
First ride I went on, I was scared to death of the 80kph speed, but it was a good introduction to it. Next ride it was easy as pie.

Oh and I'm coming on saturday.

Yay! and yes it is all in your mind that speed hurdle. Next thing you know we will have to put anchors on the scorpio to slow you down

I think it is a great thing you guys are doing Maha, I know you have all given me the confidence required to ride better, and the 80Km thing is very much just a mind block, and I can't see there being many officers that would pull you over doing between 80 and 100km with an L plate on unless you were being stupid.

Keep it up I love the rides

Or in your case, what is left of your L plate, a thin little yellow sliver
the rest of it is in Waiwera....

    Anchors? Slow down?

Nah, I have a much more reasonable solution, speed time up so I can get my restricted faster

i think I can handle 80 kmh, but I haven't been on any lengthy rides yet so 145 kms seems much and I have never been on a group ride and most of my riding is in the city and surroundings, and most importantly i do insist on regular feeding times

but i am keen as so I will be at the Caltex on Saturday
